3       Welsh Government First Supplementary Budget 2023-24: Evidence session

3.1 The Committee took evidence on the Welsh Government First Supplementary Budget 2023-24 from Rebecca Evans MS, Minister for Finance and Local Government; Emma Watkins, Deputy Director, Budget and Government Business; and Sharon Bounds, Deputy Director, Financial Controls.

 

3.2 The Minister for Finance and Local Government agreed to ask the Minister for Education to provide a note on:

 

·         school budget overspends and whether any deficit can be carried forward into the next financial year.
